Convert a Kruti Dev Word File to Unicode (Mangal)Word फ़ाइल को कृतिदेव से यूनिकोड (मंगल) में कैसे बदलें
By CalQ · Updated 19 October 2026
Old office files, court documents and typed notices are often in Kruti Dev 010. To send them by email, upload them to a portal or edit them on a computer without that font, they need to be in Unicode (Mangal). You don't have to retype anything — the whole Word file can be converted at once.
Step 1: Save the file as .docx
The converter works with .docx files (Word 2007 and later). If your file ends in .doc, open it in MS Word or LibreOffice and choose File → Save As → Word Document (.docx).
अगर फ़ाइल .doc है, तो Word में खोलकर "Save As" से .docx के रूप में सेव करें।
Step 2: Convert it
- Open the Krutidev to Unicode converter.
- Under the text boxes, choose or drop your .docx file.
- Pick the Unicode font you want in the output (Mangal, Nirmala UI or another).
- Download the converted file and open it in Word.
The file is processed inside your browser — it is never uploaded, which matters for official and personal documents.
What changes and what stays the same
- Text in the Kruti Dev font becomes Unicode Hindi and its font is switched to the one you chose.
- English text, numbers in other fonts, tables, headers, footers and images are left as they are.
- Bold, italic and font size are kept.
- If someone renamed the font or the converter finds no Kruti Dev text, use the "Convert all text" option — but only when the whole document is Kruti Dev.
Check the result
Read through the converted file once, especially names, rare conjuncts and any words that had formatting changes in the middle of the word. Then keep the Unicode version as your master copy: it works on every phone and computer, and can be searched and copied without breaking.
Need to go back for a typing test or printer that still wants Kruti Dev? Use Unicode to Krutidev — it converts Word files the same way.
