How to use the signature resizer
- Sign on plain white paper with a black or blue pen; photograph it in good light.
- Choose the photo and crop tightly around the signature.
- Tick Enhance signature to make the paper pure white.
- Enter the pixel size and KB range from the notification and download the JPG.

Signature resize in KB: why signatures are different
A signature is mostly white paper with thin dark lines, so it compresses far more than a face photo. That is why signature limits are usually smaller (often 10–20 KB, but check your notice) and why a good scan can even come out below the minimum KB. The tool aims for the highest quality inside your range and warns you if the file is too small.
The most common rejection is a grey or shadowed background from a phone photo. “Enhance signature” turns the paper pure white and keeps the ink dark, so the signature looks like a clean scan and stays readable when the portal shrinks it.

Signature tips
- Don’t sign in capital letters if the form says “running hand”.
- Avoid lined or coloured paper and shadows from your phone.
- Leave a little white space around the signature when cropping.
