How to type in Urdu with an English keyboard
Write Urdu the way you text it in Roman Urdu: main ghar ja raha hun becomes میں گھر جا رہا ہوں. Hundreds of everyday words are recognised however you spell them; other words are written letter by letter — long vowels (aa, ee, oo) become ا ی و, while short vowels are left out as in normal Urdu writing.
रोमन उर्दू में लिखें और स्पेस दबाएँ — शब्द उर्दू लिपि में बदल जाएगा। कॉपी करके WhatsApp, Word या कहीं भी पेस्ट करें।
Tips
- Untick Urdu to type English words in between.
- Copy and Download also convert the last word, even if you didn't press space.
