When is Urdu to Hindi useful?
You received a letter, poem, notice or document in Urdu but read only Devanagari; your computer doesn't show Urdu fonts properly; or you want to read Urdu poetry (ghazals, shayari) without learning the script. Since everyday Hindi and Urdu share most words, the Hindi version is usually easy to understand.
Good to know
- Common words are exact; rare words and names may need a small correction.
- If the Urdu text has vowel marks (zer, zabar, pesh), they are used for a more exact result.
