JPG, PNG or WEBP — which one?
- JPG — photos and form uploads; small files, accepted everywhere, no transparency.
- PNG — screenshots, logos, editing; lossless and keeps transparency, but bigger.
- WEBP — websites; smallest files, keeps transparency, but some forms and apps don’t accept it.

How to convert images on a phone or computer
- Tap Choose images and pick one or more files from your gallery or folders (up to 20).
- Pick JPG, PNG or WEBP under “Convert to”. Lower the quality slider if you need smaller files.
- Download each file, or use Download all to save everything in one zip.

Which format do forms and websites want?
Government and exam forms almost always ask for JPG/JPEG, often with a KB limit — convert to JPG first, then use compress to KB if the file is still too big. For your own website or online shop, WEBP gives the smallest files. Keep a PNG when you will edit the picture again or it has a transparent background.
Converting never improves a picture: it only changes how the same pixels are stored. Start from the original photo when you can, not a copy that was already compressed by WhatsApp.
