What is Kruti Dev 010?
Kruti Dev 010 is a Hindi font that follows the Remington typewriter keyboard, which is why it became the standard in government offices and typing exams. It is a "legacy" font: it does not use Unicode. The word Hkkjr is stored as English letters and only looks like भारत when Kruti Dev is applied. That is why Kruti Dev text breaks on phones, in email and on websites.

Kruti Dev vs Unicode (Mangal)
Unicode is the global standard for Hindi text and is what Google, WhatsApp and government portals use. Mangal is simply a Unicode font that comes with Windows. Use Kruti Dev only when a typing test or office explicitly asks for it — and use our converters to move text between the two in seconds.
