How to use the exam photo resizer
- Choose a recent, clear photo (front-facing, plain light background).
- Drag and zoom so your face fills the frame as the notification describes.
- Enter the width × height in pixels and the KB range from your exam notification.
- Check the green ticks, then download the JPG and upload it to the form.

Photo resize in KB: pixels and file size are different
Exam notifications usually give two separate limits. The pixel size (for example width × height) is the shape and dimensions of the picture. The KB range is how big the file is on disk. Changing one does not automatically fix the other — a photo can be exactly the right pixel size and still be 300 KB, or be under 50 KB but the wrong shape.
This tool handles both: it crops and scales to your exact pixels first, then adjusts JPG quality until the file lands inside your KB range. If your photo is too large in KB, it lowers quality step by step; if even the highest quality is below the minimum KB, it tells you instead of failing silently.
पिक्सेल फोटो का साइज़ (लंबाई × चौड़ाई) है और KB फ़ाइल का वज़न। दोनों अलग-अलग सीमाएँ हैं — यह टूल दोनों को एक साथ सही करता है।
Common reasons photos get rejected
- Wrong pixel size or file size outside the allowed KB range.
- Dark, busy or coloured background; shadows on the face.
- Face too small, cut off or not centred; old or blurry photo.
- Uploading PNG or HEIC instead of JPG.
