Resize by pixels or by KB
Pixels decide how big the image is on screen; KB decides how heavy the file is. Upload forms often limit both. Set the width (and height, if you untick "Keep proportions") and a KB range — the tool finds the best JPG quality that fits.
पिक्सेल से फोटो का आकार तय होता है और KB से फ़ाइल का वज़न। दोनों डालें — टूल सही JPG बना देगा।
How to resize an image without losing quality
- Make it smaller, not bigger. Shrinking keeps a photo sharp; enlarging only stretches the pixels you already have.
- Keep proportions ticked unless you are cropping — changing width and height separately squashes faces and text.
- Crop first, then resize. Cutting away empty background leaves more pixels and KB for what matters.
- Don’t squeeze the KB too hard. A very low KB limit forces heavy compression; give the file a little room if the form allows it.
When do you need to resize a photo?
- Online forms that set an exact width × height and a KB range — for exam photos and signatures, the exam photo resizer and signature resizer check both for you.
- Email and chat — a phone photo of 3–5 MB is far bigger than needed to view on a screen; around 1,200–1,600 pixels wide is plenty.
- Websites and blogs — resizing to the width your page actually shows makes it load much faster.
- Profile pictures — crop to a square and keep the face centred.
फोटो को छोटा करने से क्वालिटी बनी रहती है, बड़ा करने से नहीं। पहले क्रॉप करें, फिर साइज़ बदलें।
